National University Professor Race Equity Leadership Network
Overview
Racially conscious school and district leadership remains fundamental to improving student achievement in the nation’s schools. Based on the book Principal Leadership for Racial Equity: A Field Guide for Developing Racial Consciousness by Candace Raskin, Melissa Krull, and Antonia Felix, this program engages professors in intentional self-study and examination of racially and culturally relevant best practices. In addition, university faculty will engage with current school leaders who completed the Principal Leadership for Racial Equity curriculum and lead schools/districts with racial competence and consciousness.
Outcomes
As a participant, you will discover curriculum and instructional strategies that will equip your graduates with the skills to meet the needs of an increasingly racially diverse school population. You will also be included in an ongoing network of university faculty who are preparing racially conscious leaders for our K-12 schools.
